Blue Curve
The curve series is a collection of digital altered analogue Kodachrome photographs. Each image represents a color. The work revolves around of the notion that the actual physical space as understood as a reference for the digital space is broken and that in the digital space the environment and material objects can have new properties. Thus, the color of the fence becomes the central motive in the piece and not the actual photography. With this the semiotics of both space and color are slightly shifted and new opportunities arises. It is a simple, yet powerful gesture that suggests that the reality in the digital might hold new forms of beings and beginnings.
